The other day modobs, wrote in her blog, “What’s Love Got to Do With it” a great post called, “Closer” where she talks about the newest fashion trend for men. It was the moustache, but not just any moustache, a big face rat that gives me the creeps. I understand that men have less options than women do when it comes to expressing their personal style and perhaps because they have a lot of facial hair they feel compelled to grow it into awe-inspiring architecture on their faces for distinction, I find much of it off-putting. I thought for me the creepiest expression was the guy who has a beard and no moustache because it draws the eye to the chin creating the illusion of a caveman-ish under bite:
As you can see even on a an average looking guy the beard with no moustache is funky! When I researched further I discovered their is a society of facial hair lovers who hold a beard olympics and many women are turned on by them!
I couldn’t possible date anyone with beard weirdness like this, could you? Then I thought what if I was dating someone who showed no signs of this hair growing behavior and then one day announced he was into it. Would I leave him because of it, or would I just try to convince him how much it turned me off? What would you do? This is a tough one?
